About
Marc Miller is a 23 year old senior at Purchase College, majoring in Liberal Studies with a concentration in art. Photography is his true passion. He is currently employed as a photographer with the N.Y. Mets, Herald Community Newspapers, and GO! Magazine, and is the head photographer for Purchase’s own WPSR student radio. You can hear his radio show, “Toast & Jam,” on Wednesday nights at 11:00pm. After high school, Marc went to study business at Hofstra University from 2002-2005. In 2005, he realized he did not want to pursue a business degree and spent a year studying various subjects, including photography. In 2006, Marc spent a semester traveling with an Outward Bound Program. He hiked the Appalachian Trail and canoed in the Florida Everglades. The majority of the expedition took place in Patagonia, where Marc hiked through Chile and Argentina, ultimately becoming very passionate about photography. After arriving home from Patagonia, he studied for a semester at Nassau Community College before transferring to Purchase College. Marc enjoys taking portraits, still lifes, and landscapes using heavy, stark contrast. Marc wants to pursue a career as a photojournalist after graduation.
